How to Delete Your Rapchat Account

You can delete your account in the app or by email.

You can also delete your account directly in the app:

Delete from the App

1. Open Rapchat and go to your Profile.
2. Tap the Settings gear icon.
3. Scroll down to "Permanent Actions".
4. Tap "Delete Account".
5. Confirm that you want to delete your account.

Delete by Email

If you cannot access your account, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Rapchat account. We confirm requests within 10 business days and complete them within 45 days.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your Rapchat account, it is taken down right away and we can restore it for 30 days if you ask. After 30 days, we remove your personal information and uploads, including:

• Profile information — your username, display name, profile photo, and bio
• Songs and recordings — all songs, tracks, and recordings you created
• Beats — all beats you uploaded
• Social data — your followers, following lists, likes, and comments
• Messages — all direct messages and chat history
• Activity history — your listening history and in-app activity

What Data Is Retained

• Purchase and subscription records are kept as required for accounting and tax.
• Privacy requests are kept on record for 24 months.
• Collaborations and content other users saved may remain.
• Aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you may be kept.

Retention Period

You can restore your account for 30 days. After that, your personal information and uploads are removed. Copies in backups roll off on a schedule.

Deleting Data Without Deleting Your Account

If you would like to remove specific content without deleting your entire account, you can delete individual songs or beats within the app, or mark songs as private to hide them from other users.
