Rapchat 13.0 for iOS introduced a new way to record, share, and discover performances. 13.1 is now the latest version, with follow-up fixes for recording and video playback.
Record a Freestyle Video
Open Create and tap Record Freestyle Video. Add a beat with Add Beat (Optional) or record without one, then capture your performance.
Watch your take before sharing it. Tap Retake if you want another run. When you're ready, tap Next, then Post to Rapchat to open the post editor.
You can also tap the beat on a video to record your own take over it.
Find performances in For You
The new video feed gives you three ways to listen:
- For You for recommended performances
- New for the latest posts
- Following for artists you follow
Move through the feed, open an artist's profile, leave some love, or use a beat that inspires you.
Get around your Inbox faster
The Inbox now gives you clearer shortcuts to Activity, DMs, Collab Invites, Notification Settings, and Message Settings.
Version 13.0 also includes improvements across feed paging, comments, messaging, recording, and uploads.
Update to Rapchat 13.1
If you installed 13.0, update to 13.1 before your next session. It includes the latest recording and video playback fixes, along with a smoother handoff from Beat Details into Studio.
