Rapchat is for making music. Competition, battles, and strong opinions are part of the culture. Harassment, threats, scams, and private-image abuse are not.

We appreciate every artist who spends time creating, collaborating, and competing here. We have also heard clearly that some people are tired of spam and personal disputes taking over the app. We are tightening our review process and enforcing the rules more consistently.

Keep personal harm out of it

Do not use Rapchat to:

  • Harass someone or keep contacting them after they block you
  • Threaten people or encourage others to target them
  • Attack people based on race, religion, sex, gender, sexuality, disability, or another protected trait
  • Share someone’s private information, intimate images, or sexual content without consent
  • Use someone else’s real photos to impersonate, shame, or intimidate them
  • Pull children or family members into an argument
  • Run scams, send spam, fake offers, or manipulate activity
  • Use another account to evade a block, warning, hold, or suspension
  • Retaliate against someone for making a report

Diss tracks and battles can stay competitive without becoming personal abuse. A music dispute is not permission to threaten someone, expose private information, or involve their family.

Report it. Don’t retaliate.

If someone crosses the line:

  1. Save the message, profile, track, or image as evidence.
  2. Report the content or account in Rapchat.
  3. Block the person if you do not want more contact.
  4. Do not post their private information or ask other people to pile on.

Message requests give you control over who reaches your main inbox. You can accept a request, delete it, or block the sender.

What happens after a report

We review the available content and context. Depending on the severity and history, Rapchat may:

  • Remove a track, message, profile photo, bio, or other content
  • Warn the account
  • Temporarily limit or hold the account while we review a safety issue
  • Suspend an account for a serious or repeated violation

A temporary hold is not automatically a final punishment. It gives us time to stop more harm, hear relevant context, and make a decision. We apply the same rules no matter who reported first, how long someone has used Rapchat, or how popular an account is.

Clear scams, threats, non-consensual intimate images, child-safety issues, and continued abuse after a warning are high-priority safety issues and can lead to immediate suspension.

We may not be able to share private details about another person’s account, but reports and evidence help us act.
